Beer Battered Chicken Strips
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup beer
- 1+ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tbsp hot sauce (Frank's)
- black pepper, to taste
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Vegetable oil for frying
Mix the egg, beer, flour, hot sauce, baking soda, salt, and pepper. Cut chicken breasts into 2-inch strips lengthwise. Heat oil in skillet. Dip chicken in batter. Fry chicken in hot oil. Flip the strips about every minute, cooking for a total of 4 to 6 minutes. Transfer to to a paper towel to drain oil.
