Spaghetti Sauce
- 2 lg. cans tomato sauce
- 2 lg. cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 sm. can tomato paste
- 3 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 lg. onion, chopped finely
- 6 tbsp. olive oil
- 2 tbsp. parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 3 tbsp. oregano
- 3 tsp. basil
- 1 pinch sugar
Sautee garlic and onion in olive oil in large pot until onion is soft. Add all tomato products and stir. Add cheese, red pepper, oregano, basil and sugar to tomatoes and stir through. Add additional herbs to taste. Simmer over low heat at least 1 hour.
For meat sauce, add 1 lb browned ground beef or 1 package cooked Italian sausage.
